For several seasons now, Paraboot has been teaming up with young female artists from various fields, and asking them represent their vision of Marianne.

Symbolising the French Republic and Freedom, she is showcased on an iconic Paraboot model through a unique artistic expression.

The illustrator Blachette

The illustrator Camille Blache goes under the name of Blachette. She shares her creative and colourful world through comic books, but she is best known for her illustrations on social media.

The artist draws her inspiration from the vibrant streets of Paris as well as her native Perpignan.

Her passion for fashion is also inextricably linked to her art.

Her illustrations are always inclusive, serving as a way to share her beliefs and highlight topics that are important to her.

Always current, her illustration work has led to collaborations with brands such as Lacoste for a capsule collection, and Asics to illustrate their advertising campaign.

“From a very young age, I’ve always been passionate about fashion and iconic pieces. I’ve always seen people around me wearing Paraboot, even more so over the past few years. That’s why this collaboration with the brand feels completely natural to me.

I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside various brands in the fashion industry through my art. Two years ago, I was lucky enough to create a capsule collection with a major French brand, an enormous challenge that I absolutely loved. I was involved from start to finish, from developing the identity of the collection to the creative direction, setting up and monitoring the creation process, and right through to the final result and marketing the products.

For this partnership, I really wanted to represent my art by choosing a green colour to bring a fresh, vibrant touch to the legendary Orsay.”

A new look for the Vincennes loafer

Inspired by the Orsay model, the Paraboot women’s loafer is a lightweight and stylish model. A summer must-have, suitable for any occasion. With a gold-coloured snaffle trim, this version comes in springtime colours for a casual look.

– Piped seam apron loafer with snaffle trim

– Unlined, genuine Norwegian stitching

– Natural rubber sole

– Linden-coloured suede

Blachette says :

“My work as an illustrator is all about inclusivity. That’s why, for my representation of Marianne, I deliberately drew a woman of East Asian heritage.

It’s important to me that all women feel represented through this model, which is why I wanted to break away from the traditional image of the classic white Marianne.”

The collaboration is available exclusively in Paraboot stores (Paris Vignon, Paris Rivoli, Paris Grenelle, Paris St Honoré, Aix en Provence, Nice, Avignon, Bordeaux, Orléans, Annecy, Strasbourg and Lille) and on our website.
