Lisse rouge - Genuine rubber sole with leather heel

This shoe is made of Blake stitching, also called through stitching. It was in 1858 that the shoemaker Leeman Reed Blake, a young employee of the sewing machine manufacturer Singer, invented this technique that brings more flexibility and lightness to the shoe.
