Pacific: a sandal made for walking
Pacific

The Pacific model was first launched in the fifties. Paraboot developed this model for monks belonging to the Order of Carthusians, whose monastery is located in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse in the heart of the Chartreuse Mountains in the Isère region of France.

Due to spending long hours on their feet while researching plants for them to use in making their Liqueur de Chartreuse – a highly alcoholic liqueur with medicinal properties – but also as part of their pilgrimages, the monks expressed their need for a comfortable, open shoe.

It enjoyed unrivalled success. As a result, Paraboot created a women's version of the model in 2016 to add to the story of this sandal. The Ibéris model was born. For added style, it has a high profile heel that gently shapes the calf.

Today, Paraboot guarantees the use of full grain, high quality leathers. Comfortable as well as trendy, the Pacific and Ibéris sandals are available in various colours and have become one of the manufacturer's most iconic designs. They are available online, in Paraboot stores and from our partner outlets.
