Paraboot x Blachette

For several seasons now, Paraboot has been collaborating with young female artists from diverse artistic backgrounds and asking them to depict their vision of Marianne.

A symbol of the Republic and of Liberty, it is showcased through a unique artistic expression featured on an iconic Paraboot model.

The illustrator Blachette

Blachette, whose real name is Camille Blache, is an illustrator. She shares her creative and colorful world through comics, but she’s especially well-known for her illustrations on social media.

The artist draws inspiration from the bustling streets of Paris and Perpignan, where she is from.

Her passion for fashion is also an integral part of her art.

Her illustrations are always meant to be inclusive and serve as a way to share her beliefs and the issues that are important to her.

Her work as an illustrator, which draws on current events, has led to collaborations with brands such as Lacoste on a capsule collection and Asics on their advertising campaign.

“Ever since I was very young, I’ve been passionate about fashion and beautiful, iconic pieces. I’ve always seen people around me wearing Paraboot shoes, and even more so in recent years. So this collaboration with the brand was a natural fit for me.

Through my art, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside various brands in the fashion industry. Two years ago, I had the chance to create a capsule collection with a major French brand—a big challenge that I absolutely loved taking on. This included everything from brainstorming the collection’s identity and art direction to implementing and overseeing the creative process, from the final result all the way through to market launch.

“For this partnership, I really wanted to reflect my personal style by choosing the color green to bring a fresh, vibrant touch to the legendary Orsay.“

The Vincennes Moccasin, Reimagined

The Vincennes moccasin, inspired by the Orsay model—Paraboot’s iconic women’s moccasin —is a lightweight and elegant style. A summer “must-have” that can be worn for any occasion.

Featuring a gold clasp, this version takes on a casual look and a spring-like feel.

– Moccasin with a reinforced, rolled-edge sole and a toe cap

– Unlined style, genuine Norwegian-stitched

– Natural rubber sole

– Linden suede leather

A Note from Blachette:

“In my work as an illustrator, I always emphasize inclusivity. That’s why, when depicting Marianne, I deliberately drew a woman of East Asian descent.”

“It’s important to me that all women feel represented by this model, which is why I wanted to break away from the traditional image of the classic white Marianne.”
